FROM THE POST-WAR PERIOD TO DATE
More than seventy-five years of a long, intense, sometimes troubled life is a long journey for a man, and quite a very long one for a company.
Looking back, we could not be prouder of ourselves, of those of us who have held corporate positions and operational responsibilities as well as those who believed in the project and supplied Cooprolama with better and better milk quality which has reached today top levels of excellence.
By setting up the co-operative, the first choice was to put into practice the principles of solidarity, collaboration among us, and a widespread and shared ownership of risk capital. The ideal was, and still is, enormous, but we all know how much fidelity to that enlightened choice has cost us.
The other choice was the quality of our product. It was not an obvious choice, the temptation to allocate all the results of the administration, leaving little or nothing in the cooperative itself, has always been present. We have weathered all storms and built a company that can place its cheese on the market with our heads held high and challenge the competition of high-end products. Today, quality is a must, a precondition, but it has not been always like this, and we must be grateful to those who guided us along this road.
